They were still 14 mph over the higher-speed section, which is enough to get you a ticket just about anywhere in the USA.

Not even speeding, just a cop with a bad attitude is likely to get you a speeding ticket in USA.

I gotta find that article for that dumb pig in LA who was fired for making a slew of false speeding tickets. He got one person doing 79 in a 65, then left the reading on the gun and procedes to ticket around 80+ people with that same reading without clocking them.

13-14.2mph over, depending on which ticket you're looking at. xD

Regardless, it's a charity drive. I hardly think 3mph more than what most people do is worth pulling over a whole group and bringing in the media. It was a speed trap and media blitz. It's the cops being dicks. Certainly not all cops are like that, but these are.

Reason #5401 I believe the cops are worthless trash and nothing more than toolbag meter maids for the state.

They can set up these stings where they can meet their quotas, but when have they ever set up GTA stings to watchout for car thieves, kept officers patrolling nice neighborhoods so the chance of breakins are reduced?

And btw S2020, if cops are such good people, then why do the good ones allow the bad ones to constantly break the law and hurt people?

The day I see a massive police effort to actually help a community instead of stealing from it with bullshit like this, maybe my attitude will change. The day any of you police lovers are hurt by a cop, ill piss on your grave chanting "I told you so, I told you so!!!"
Here in Dallas/Fort Worth our PD will leave nice cars unlocked with the keys in the ignition and watch them and then arrest people that try to drive off with them.

I knew a guy in high school (stupid guy obviously) that got arrested for that, saw a nice Mercedes with "rims that go bling bling" (Dumb people can't resist shiny things) and wanted to take it for a joy ride and ended up in jail.

I remember a reality series TV show where they use the bait car, very interesting tactic but far too obvious. Now get a S2000 and leave it in an apt complex or along a house in Fl or AZ, then they will reel in so many thieves they wont know what to do with them all.

They'll never do real police work. They can be busting gangs and drug dealers every day....but they rarely do.
