An article on Yahoo!:

[QUOTE]"Ford Motor Company did an absolutely marvelous job at capturing the essence of Thunderbirds,'' said Motor Trend Detroit bureau chief Jack Keebler.

They are the biggest POS and yes I have driven one. they are pretty ugly from the outside. Plus with Fords Quality control issues the first recall came before they were even on the road. Remeber the engines would over heat and blow up or something like that.

MT car of the year = more ad revenue for MT. Ford made a four-door T-Bird for five years, which IMHO was a total perversion of the original concept. U-G-L-Y!

Well, I see that the new Thunderbird has many of the characteristics that its predecessor from the 50's has...

It's not particularly fast.

It doesn't handle particularly well.

But one thing that it does not share with the earlier version is that the new one is not the graceful and classy car that the porthole T-birds were back then. The new ones are, hmmm....ugly...that's the word that comes to mind.

A four door T-bird....I seem to recall these. But did anyone know there was a 4 door Camaro? I actually saw one in Houston when I was in high school. It looked it was from the late 60's, probably 68-69. Does anyone else remember those?
