Tidbits from the NY Auto Show. . .
So, while at the show last night, I reached the following conclusions. . .
Regardless of whether Ford owns them or not, Aston Martin produces a few of the nicest "pure" sports cars on the planet. . .
How the HELL does Pontiac remain in business???? With the exception of the Trans Am, all of their cars look hideous. . .
The NSX is STILL a visually stunning car. . .
The new BMW M3 is a true sports sedan. . . It looks great, but if I had to go with a sedan, I'd take the M5. . .
The new Viper is Hot!!! (and it even has ABS
)
The new Jaguar X-type, in some ways, reminds me of a Ford Contour
The McLaren F1 is smaller (shorter) in person than I imagined it to be. . . That being said, I would love to owe one
Who does Saab appeal to anyway???

Sorry. . . But, I personally think bullets are easier to read
IMO, the bullet points resemble Bill O'Reilly's style (host of "The Factor" on Fox News) a little more than Larry King
Incidentally, while at the show BMW had its new Z9 (I think that's the name) displayed as a convertible. . . It was sweet
Finally, I saw the PT Cruiser drop-top and the VW concept of its long gone VW bus (aka terrorist mobile). . . Both vehicles were looked horrible, but sadly they'll probably as many as they produce

agree with derryck, I've also driven a Viggen and with a 2.3L 230hp 258lb/ft of torque that car is quite enjoyable and fast. Not only that it is one of the safest cars in the world. Last year the 9-3 and 9-5 were given the highest safety rating for cars in their class in Europe. My girlfriend drives the Saab so it eases my mind. So while visually you either hate it or you don't. The cars do appeal to quite a large audience of people. As for affordability I currently lease mine fully loaded for $315 a month and that's with free scheduled maintenance and 15,000 miles a year. Insurance for full coverage in NYC is less than $1800 a year.

I have a friend here at work that I think drives a 9-3 and loves it. I don't like the Saab appearance but have mucho respect for the Viggen. And hey turbo pwr, I thought you lived in NY, not Texas!! (look at his home town for help if you don't get it)
