Default Tiffany & Co Diamonds.....any room for bargaining?

Well im looking to get something from tiffanys with a diamond for my girlfriend. I know with a lot of jewlers if your paying cash you can usually haggle a bit. With a big company like Tiffany's i was wondering if that was still possible, or anyone had any experience or tips......im not very jewelry savvy but she loves Tiffany's!

I honestly don't know if they would haggle.

Just realize that you are paying roughly a 1/3 premium for the name. They have good quality control but it's at too steep of a cost. This is coming from someone who likes Tiffany products. I just bought my girlfriends anniversary give there.

NO...Tiffany's is one company that won't bargain with you unless you're a celebrity of some sort.

Good luck

Tiffanys is you are paying extra for the name. I got my wife Tiffany's trinkets when we were students (like 200 dollars) because they were easily recognizable and a teeny tiny tiffany diamond for 1000 dollars (a lot with our budget at that time). Now with some cash, I went elsewhere for her 1 carat stud earings and saved about 7k.

Does it have to be from Tiffany's?

When I got my fiancee's ring i went to http://www.jewelryexchange.com
found a local store and picked out some diamonds online and they shipped them to the store. Found what I liked and had it mounted in a ring at Robbin Bros. Saved a lot on diamond

Like others said prices are pretty stiff and you do pay for the name but assurance in quality and resell value as well. I was able to negotiate a bit on interest rate when I finance through them, although this is 10 years ago not sure if it still works this way.
