Well, that's it - all appeals exhausted.

McVeigh is toast on June 11!

I thought he had two courts left that could intervene.

Although I'm for killing that SOB, I think what they should do is just strap him down on a table with a feeding tube in place along with a proper waste disposal and let him lay there, in the dark, until he dies. This would be in a completely sealed off room with no outside contact.

Now that would be some good punishment.

Lost the first appeal, and decided not to pursue the last one (Supreme Court).

It's over, he's pulled back his legal dogs. I know I'm gonna get blasted for this but Timothy McVay has done a great wrong and killed many people. Does this warrant a special punishment of death? I believe in the death penalty but to suggest that he is worth of something special would suggest that he was worthy of greater attention than he truly deserves. Food for thought!

I personally will pray for all those that have lost loved ones and yes, I will pray for Timothy McVays soul. It is a shame that someone didn't see the need to guide him away from his thinking that brought such agony to others. The circumstances of this won't be forgotten. It should be a lesson to all. Not the bombing, not Timothy McVay, but the loss of human life that is so precious.

Timothy McVay was just an instrument. It could have been anyone. It could have been avoided had someone taken an intrest in his well being. I will love my children all the more and be thankful for their deliverance from such evil. I wish it were possible to rid the world of such influence in this time but I know that's not possible. Please just teach you children this lesson and give them the love, dicipline, they so richly deserve. For in them a peaceful future may exsist.

As much as I would like his death to be slow and painful, I'm glad it is not. In the document that makes this country what it is, their will be no inhumane punishment. If the government could change the law for his case, they would have this big power trip and imagine what would happen to us.

I'd like to share one thing with everyone. It's a short story.

One day a farmers donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

So he invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.

At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw!

With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up and over the edge of the well and trotted off!

Moral: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.

Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells, just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five reule to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Thanks

Jeff

couldn't have said it better!

BTW Chile abolished death penalty this week.
Soon there will be only terrorist gvnmts (Afghanistan, Irak...check the list above...) AND the US to keep this middle-age tradition in their judicial system!!

Why do I bother??
Because USA is the most powerful and influential country in the world, and as such, should act with wisdom and equity. But instead the image that comes through the media is one of a chaotic, ultra-violent, segregated, non-democratic country. (if anyone wants examples, just ask!).
It's just too bad... But I will continue to use Mac
