Here's the sitch:

The producer called to say that he got my video tape and it was just what he wanted. He said that Wayne decided that this was something he he didn't need to "practice" (being amazed by a magician, apparently), and that he wanted to use the test shows to work on things he did need to practice, like interviewing guests.

The upshot: I won't be going to do a test show, but they do want me for a real show and will call me when they want to schedule it.

It sounds a lot like "Don't call us, we'll call you", but we'll see.

They had....I thought it was funny as heck. I always wondered what happened to it.
