I have a $1.74 toothbrush from the grocery store and some $1 toothpaste. I still have a full head of teeth

I can make a tube of toothpaste last over a year.

I have no clue what kind of toothpaste or toothbrush I use.

I have both soniccare and oral B. As far as value for your money goes the oral B is better. Without a doubt either one of these two helps you get your teeth cleaner quicker. That's the point, not that you can't get your teeth as clean with a regular toothbrush but that you can do it in less time with better overall results. I still brush for two minutes but my mouth is definately cleaner after using the electric.

I have got an oral B. Yes it was $90 but you really do notice that it gets gunk off teeth much better, especially the back teeth.

I did see on an episode of "The Screen Savers" on g4 tech tv that you can buy one of those $15 battery powered toothbrushes, crack it open, solder in a resister or diode or something and overclock it to run as fast as a sonic toothbrush. I bet you could find it on google if you wanted the ghetto Sonicare for cheaper.
