Top Gear: Opinions
I happen to be a huge Top Gear fan, I have every episode that you can "acquire". Do you guys watch it religiously like I do? What do you think of new spin-offs?
UK Top Gear
I would have to say this is my favorite show, because it is about my favorite subject. I have now realized that the presenters are the best actors/speakers on TV at the moment. Its not about accuracy, who's opinion is right, or the cars; its about the entertainment. And the entertainment is all about The Thrill of Driving. I highly appreciate the filmography, due to my recent experience with the art. New episodes probably will be out at the end of this month.
Australian Top Gear
So I watched the first episode last night, and as many feared, it is not all that good. The presenters seemed to be about having fun with themselves, and didn't take the show all that seriously. A cocky racedriver a presenter is not. And really, how are you going to start off a series with on-road SUVs, and a supercar that the presenters drool over and tell us what we already know? I didn't see any negative or useful commentary, and they acted like they were afraid of losing their jobs. Overall, their acting was not all that believable.
American Top Gear
Like our friend Jay, I fear the worst for the American show. Very few presenters in America could do the show correctly, and probably only Jay could tell us his real opinion without sponsors swaying his words. I just can't take Adam Corrola seriously. If it has any traditional/current American "style" of television in it, its all downhill.
UK Fifth Gear
A lot of people have not heard of the second British car show, they are not missing much. Its run by a bunch of young hooligans that don't know a lick about cars. Tiff is just a cocky showoff who isn't the best racer or a presenter driver, kind of reminds me of a boy-racer figurehead. I just cant stand Vikki. Sorry, her voice is annoying and she never has anything relevant to say amongst her screams. Their bashing of Top Gear and cheesy slogans are just tacky. But I do want access to their track so bad.
I still watch all of them as soon as they are released, except Family Guy might take precedence over one or two of these series

I love UK Top Gear with Jeremy
I think it's the best show on TV, car related or otherwise. I think more properly it should be classified as a Comedy anyway
I've laughed so hard over a few episodes I have cried and gotten hiccups
Have watched Fifth Gear a few times but not recently. I thought it was so so. Have not seen any of the others you listed but will check them out.

Im a big Carolla fan so i'll be watching

Corolla is a divisive blowhard who hates most American cars. Should be like Clarkson, except maybe .9999999% less boorish.

and jeremy clarkson is a what? non-cocky, amazing race car driver?

I don't want to listen to Tiff unless he is teaching me something about driving.
