Top Gear isn't filmed in High Definition, so you must have been stoned so you saw the extra pixels!
Although the rumor is that the next season will be filmed in HD! We should find out soon.

I like Top Gear but can't watch it unless I find bits of episodes on the 'net.
I'm actually anticipating the American version of Top Gear because I'll actually be able to watch the damn show in its entirety!

The american show has already started taping and reviews seem cautiously optimistic from people in the audience.

Correction...they filmed only a pilot episode. Ask me how I know? I was there. It hasn't been announced when the American version will start and they definitely haven't filmed any more episodes.

I love top gear UK, I've got all seasons on my computer, supposedly in HD :

) The real reason I love it is for the presenters. I don't care what they are doing, they just have an awesome chemistry and can make me laugh like a tard

I have some reservations for US top gear, as I'm not really a Corolla fan. Also, I'm not sure if the other presenters are up to par. I am willing to give them my best shot though, although one of my other favorite things about UKTG is the cars we don't get. I love seeing and drooling over all of the fantastic (and not so fantastic) EU cars that are with held from america.

not a big 5th gear fan. Not as funny, and I don't really care much for the resenters.

yup, i heard the new (12th season) is going to be shot in HD. Doesnt matter too much to me though, I think the quality is stellar already but still lookin forward for their further improvements. I think the music is incredible in Top Gear, always surprises me how talented the film crew/editors/music guys are...not to mention the unending banter...Ive always felt that lots of the parts in the show are fake and overly scripted though...some of their races (plane vs car vs boat, etc..) are just too good..
