Thought the show was a failure due to the host. Great cars but soooo boring and NOT funny or entertaining like the origional

 

It'll never be as good as the original but, let's just be glad we've got a decent car show to watch. The host was a failure though, he ruined that segment. Hopefully it will get more entertaining as weeks go by.

I didn't like the fact that the cameras shook so much. With the original Top Gear, it seems as though no matter how bumpy the road is, no matter how fast the fellas are driving the vehicles, etc., the cameras stay perfectly still. Top Gear UK seems like it is produced by Hollywood big shots, while Top Gear US seems like some college students made a video for youtube, albeit with some sick cars!
I did like the show, though. The commentary made me laugh quite a bit, and the hosts seem to be buddy-buddy, just like the UK guys.
I think if you're a true automotive enthusiast, you should give this show a chance. Sure, it is not as good as the UK counterpart, but nobody thought it would be.

 

UK Top Gear took years to get where it is, been through many hosts to find the right combination. Give it some time, it will get better
Until then I would still take that any day over any dancing/cooking/survival/game/talk/reality show.

 

Blah, I forgot all about this - was all caught up watching zombies get whacked on AMC. I'll have to make sure I catch it next week.
