Where did you hear about all of these attacks? I found one incident in Chicago, but I can't find anything else on the 7 news sites that I read constantly. I sure can't find any mosques that were attacked by anyone. Are you sure that they aren't the usual rumors?

All the Chicago incidents were on our local news radio stations this morning. Also later in today's afternoon, the local news station did a local broadcast and reported these incidents as well.

The TX incident I saw on national news with Tom Brokaw.

Funny thing about one of the molatov cocktail attacks on a mosque in Chicago: the perp through the cocktail into a "window", the mosque administrator recently changed all the windows to plexiglass, because he foresaw activities like this. The cocktail bounced off the "window" and shattered on the sidewalk where it burned itself out, damaging only the sidewalk with minor carbon burns.....

Luder,

That was my point: I could only find that one attack. The second article you posted said that they received telephone threats and someone reported women being insulted. Only 1 act of violence out of 270million Americans, and that guy is now sitting in jail. Exaggerated claims of attacks, based on your own fears of being attacked, don't negate the coming together of Americans over this tragedy.

You made it sound like Americans were massacring Muslims in the streets or something.

Well, at least it hasn't come to the point where people of Arab origin or descent are being rounded up and put in internment camps the way Japanese Americans were after WWII started. Let's hope it doesn't come to that; let's just please all keep our heads.

I apologize for making it sound more dramatic than it is.....but Americans attacking Americans based on the commanality of ethnicity vs. the commanality of NATIONALITY is pretty dramatic to me.....

My point I was trying to show in this thread was that it's funny how some people see the solidarity that is brought out through these type of tragic events, while yet others (like me), brace for the events that are sure to follow. It's also funny to me that solidarity comes out when we all have a common enemy (now that they are in the foreground).

Let some of this news from NY and DC die down, we will all hear and pay attention to the local reports...

For Tanq and others who are interested:

http://www.nbc4.tv/wtc/muslim.htm

This following one is good for synopsis of REPORTED attacks around the nation:

http://nbc5.com/cgi-bin/gx.cgi/AppLogic%2B...ZRB8C&live=true

Here's one article I found from a Detroit news site....by the way, the majority of attacks on Arab Americans are in Detroit due to the density of Arab Americans there...however, you'll definitely see the lack of reporting on this:

I just went back and read all my replies to everything related to these attacks:

I have to apologize for being on edge about everything....I will stop with my antagonistic thoughts here and other areas....again sorry to all.

BTW, I do want to acknowledge to Tanq that, yes, you are right, I shouldn't negate the commradary that this event has brought out in our communities, the nation, and the world.....however, please all keep your eyes and hearts open to those honest Americans that may become victims because the ignorance of a few.

If you see a wrong, step in and do something about it!
