Default For the Truck Folks.

My dad wants to buy a truck. He doesn't know which he should get, a Toyota Tacoma, an Chevy S10, or a Ford Ranger. Right now he's leanin towards the Tacoma.

I just wanted to get your guys' thoughts about the trucks. Thanks

My roommate used to have a Tacoma. Awesome little truck. The thing went everywhere. Maybe a little more spendy though...

BTW - You can get a SC for it too!

My friend had a Ranger. Said it was the worst car he ever owned and got rid of it.

For reliablility, I'd stick with the Toyota.

The Taliban used Toyota pickups exclusivly. The conditions do not get much more rugged than a never-ending war in Afghanistan.

Stick with the Toyota. Even if I would go with the Ford F150 as my choice, the Toyota is your best bet in what you have listed. Ranger, and S10 are not that great of a truck. My mom had the Ranger, and uncle has the S10. Stick with the Tacoma.
