Tuned '02 WRX
Checked out a friend's WRX.
Still ugly, but DAMN.
New ECU, new exhaust, suspension and a whole lot of little parts and tuning later:
223 HP at the wheels,
1/4 in 12.8 @ 106MPH
4.4 sec 0-60
The above are G-Tech, but he has slips from Sears Point (pre final tuning) that are almost as good - and he'll be running again now that he's got it running well.
Wow.
The thing launches like a rocket. And today it was raining here in SF and that thing is a dream in bad weather.

How can you have an '02 WRX in 2001? The USA is crazy sometimes
.
I have a stock MY00 WRX (that's 2000
) and yesterday I spun all 4 wheels from a standing start (dry road, cool weather). It'll snap your neck! Makes my S2000 look stupid from a standing start but it's a near thing in the twisties (WRX is much easier to drive fast though).
