Default Unsafe Start ticket?

Hey peeps I was wondering if anyone got an unsafe start ticket before. Basically what happened was I was waiting for the light to turn green so I can turn left. I turned left and then the officer pulled me over. He said that my tires screeched but I didn't even hear it. What do you think I should tell the judge so he would believe me???

Sounds like B.S. to me. I guess they needed revenue for the end of the month. Are there any points involved? I would fight it if you have the time.

Call the clerk's office and get deferred adjucation. Its where if you don't get another ticket in 6 months then they throw out the ticket you got and your insurnace doesn't go up. I got a ticket last week for 52 in a 35, and on the 9th I have to call and ask for deferred adjucation. I hope they offer it here, but the officer on 3rdgen.org says most places have it, so lets hope!

Also, know that depending on tire wear and an excess of air pressure, your tires can squeal with almost no gas at all. We have a speed bump in our parking lot, on an uphill incline and a sharp right turn. I have to go through it at less than 2mph or my tires will squeal. At 5 mph it sounds like I'm going 30 or 40.

This is just a BS ticket that I would fight. You tires can squeak by just going over the painted crosswalk.

Thanks guys. I didn't know there was such a thing like that that they offer. I'm gonna have to fight it so I don't get a point.
