Thats because no-one else has the defense budget of the US! Who asked for USA's involvement in the rest of the world anyway?

defending THEIR rights? and what right do they have over the middle east?

The german's asses were not saved in WWII - we wooped their asses (the allies that is)

Go read up plenty of info on the net
The terrorist that bombed the world trade centers asked us.

We aren't conquering Iraq, people from other countries are giving their lives, so Iraqi's might possibly live in freedom. It's going to take a long while but hopefully some day they wont have to live under the circumstance they do today.

The germans of of today are free because of what we did in WW2.

Sorry Yogi,
but this comparision doesn't make sense to me at all.
First of all, you're comparing the army to busboys and restaurant owners to the administration...that in itself is quite degrading.

Secondly, comparing these lines of works are apples to oranges...If a busboy messes up, he may get fired by his boss or pay deducted etc etc.

If a soldier messes up...HE DIES or IS AMPUTATED leaving him scared for life...that too for a cause NOT for the freedom and safety of America but for the pockets of Kellogs Brown and Roots, Halliburton and other friends of the Admin.

I feel a soldier's life is worth MUCH more then that.
The purpose of war isn't to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.

Patton

Great video.

I find it these comments bashing our military and troops extremely insulting. Our soldiers who are fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other places across the world are all heros. Most are not testerone driven jocks, but intelligent men and women. It is wrong to generalize. However some are gun ho jocks, some are having fun, some hate it but nevertheless do their duty proudly. They are sacrificing their time, family, and in some cases their lives, for the sake of freedom. I think that becoming a soldier is one of the few honorable, noble, selfless acts anyone can do. Those fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan are not only fighting for us here at home but for a free Iraq and a free Afghanistan. They said that freedom, democracy will not work in Afghanistan. Well, elections just took place, and it is working. They said that freedom, democracy will not work in Iraq. Well, elections will take place in 6 weeks, and freedom and democracy is being spread in Iraq. Aren't the Iraqi's better off tomorrow living in democratic and free society, than yesterday living under Saddam's evil dictatorship?

I personally support the war and what we are doing in Iraq and why we went in there. WMDs? So we haven't found any YET, so what? I still have faith that we may still, if not, then so what? Saddam? Removing a psychopath from power who, in case you didn't know, has killed hundreds of thousands of his own people, invaded a neighboring country, has terrorist ties, used WMDs in the past, is a good thing for Iraq, us and the rest of the world. Oil? I don't think we went in there for oil, if so, gas prices wouldn't be so high but if we are, then so what? Oil is good and the more we can get, the better. Revenge for Bush Sr? Popular misconception, but no evidence of this.

GO USA!

606 - that is the second time you've made an absurd comment (the jock one) about our armed forces. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=4527580 If you don't like us - GET THE OUT OF OUR COUNTRY.

S2000_rider - you have no sense of context. I'd tell you to get out of my country too...but you already are
You represent your facist kind very well. Great job.

By the way, I know it's contrary to what they condition you to believe in your training, but this is not YOUR country.

DAMN man, how can ANYONE STILL USE THIS ARGUEMENT!?!?!!?!?!?!?
Because in this country the conditioning, in my best Bill Hicks impersonation, "works like a charm".

True. True. True.

Don't fool yourselves, soldiers do it for the love of the flag, the nation, and for freedom. To think we are there for any other reason is, well, uninformed.
Yes because the federal government has mastered conditioning to a point so well that they convince soliders to feel this way and ignore many of the real reasons for why they are fighting.

I do appreciate you sticking by your assertion that this war definitely had something to do with oil. I've seen you state this numerous times here and in the political forum. Your honesty and sincerity are two excellent traits that I hope most soliders(especially infantry) possess and, while I don't fully agree with a lot of what you said, I have complete respect for your opinion and service to this country...especially if it was done out of love for your fellow man.

Really?

It's amazing how much prior knowledge they had of 9/11 yet didn't do a damn thing to stop that.
