Well when the President of Afghanistan is a former employee of UNOCAL I imagine things will work well.
? Why would it be rigged? Just because once Karzai was in power, the pipeline blueprint was action immediately for the U.S.? The same pipeline the U.S. fought a proxy war with Russia using Bin Laden and company to do their dirty work?Err...actually maybe your right

Yes because the federal government has mastered conditioning to a point so well that they convince soliders to feel this way and ignore many of the real reasons for why they are fighting.
young impressionable minds...easy prey to do ones bidding.
The same pipeline which was discussed when UNOCAL employees met with Taliban officials here in the Galleria area of Houston and the Taliban officials told UNOCAL to shove it up their you-know-what's?
Hmmm...nahh...that couldn't have anything to do with it.

Thanks Yogi, for your responses. It gave me a better understanding on the life of a soldier.
I hope you respect the fact that I can't agree with everything you said. Is it honourable to die for your country? Absolutely! Was the war in Iraq worthy of such a cause? Absolutely NOT IMO.
To answer your question, yes...I would gladly take a court martial and be dishonourably discharged. At least I would be able to see my new born unlike your friend (may he RIP). I have a strong feeling I would have quite a bit of support from other soldiers as well (in this particular case being the war in Iraq). Half the entire nation would be on my side as well and relate to my decision.
I just can't see how anyone (regardless of the army code) would go to war with a country that did not pose a threat to the U.S...Iraq's only guilt was to be blessed/cursed with the 2nd largest Oil reserve next to the Saudi.
Those who say that Iraq had WMD's and were capable of causing mass destruction?
Did anyone here Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell state the following?
Feb/2001:
Colin Powell: He has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction. He is unable to project conventional power against his neighbors.
July/2001:
Condoleeza Rice: But in terms of Saddam Hussein being there, let's remember that his country is divided, in effect. He does not control the northern part of his country. We are able to keep arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt.
Amazing...Saddam built up an aresenal within 1.5 years that cause destruction in catatrosphic porportion?
...
Anyhow, I guess North Korea is lucky they are not cursed with a valuable resource that can be milked by the Bush Admin. To possiblely die and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians all in the name of profits for a select few, NOT for the country is evil, vile and absolutely dispicable.
Peace!

Really?
It's amazing how much prior knowledge they had of 9/11 yet didn't do a damn thing to stop that.

You also don't hear about all the acts they do stop. How come another super power hasn't taken us over? Could it be they can't?
You guys get way to far into the conspiracy THEORY's, with no evidence. You speak with emotions.

WTF do you think I not know about your training? I have friends that went airborne. I know about bloodwings. I know about Fort Jackson, Bragg, and Benning. So phucking what? Does that make you special or more qualified to talk on these matters because I decided not to enlist and subject myself to gassings, conditioning, and government inoculations?
