also do you take the dector off everytime you leave? im using suction cups.

 

I mount mine as high as it will go, just left of the rearview morror.. on mine, the suction cups are attached to a mounting bracket that stays behind when I take it out, which I only do when the car is in an area I don't think is safe.

so this thing is so fun....the arrows! Well, i pulled up next to a cop car tonight who is always at this bar. The thing alerted me before with some weak signals which is good but right next to him the sucker is outtta control haha. The weird thing is...no one was in the cop car, I think he left all his stuff on. So each cop car has radar on 24/7????

 

it will go off to lots of different things. such as automatic doors. sometime i go thru the neighborhood area and it will go off. and of course those are usually x or k band which cops don't use as much now. so i pretty much ignore x and k band warnings. if ka beeps i will hit the brake so hard.

i mounted mine right underneath the rear view mirror. it has clear view of the front and back. works good. and only take it down and hide it when i feel like it's not safe to leave it on.

v1 is the best detector i had so far. i dun think i will ever change brand of detector unless something better comes up.

sometimes i get J showing up on my v1. is that mean there is a jammer somewhere around me? what is it mean and what kind of devices will make v1 go JJJJJJJJ ?

 

Someone is using a radar jammer that you are near. The jammer sends out radar just like the cops do that will keep the cops from getting a speed reading. They only work from far away so when they get too close to the cop, he will get their speed anyway. That is the only thing my 2 yr old model V1 doesn't have. I think they added it in case you wanted to run a radar jammer along with it. Then you could set the V1 to disregard the J since it can tell it's a very "dirty" radar signal that is not coming from an actual radar gun.

also sometimes i get warning like only once and it goes away. for example my laser or ka will beep all crazy for like one sec then it all goes away. i tried to figure out why or wats making it doing that but no luck yet. any ideas?

The RMR-C450 looks like the best model at the moment

Here is one I found on ebay for $164 + $18 shipping. If the link doesn't work, just type in RMR-C450 in the search on ebay and you'll find quite a few about $75 cheaper than straight from the manufacturer. I don't personally have one, but a friend of mine does and he likes it.

yeh same here, it will beep ;like crazy but i can't see the cop car. Then it will go away. i def will pay more attnetion to KA, didnt know that! can't wait to go out driving again

 

Radar jammers are illegal. The RMR product you listed has been proven to be bullshit as have 99/100 of the other brands out there.
