i'm not a big one for testimonials, but this was amazing.

driving along the highway in moderate traffic, doing something like 85 or 90 and suddenly "bam" - instant on radar. arrow points ahead, but signal isn't too strong. hmmm... i'm either ****ed or not, but i slow down to around 65. i'm looking around and can't see the cop. hmmm... (again). then "bam" - instant on again. arrow STILL points ahead and signal looks pretty much the same.

and just then "bam" again and i watch lights come on in a totally ordinary looking black SUV ahead. the cop was cruising along and zapping folks from the SUV. busted some poor shmuck in a tercel.

i LOVE the V1.

Once I was on a Rt.81 in PA. A radar signal ahead. I slowed down to 65. I noticed a cop in the bush. about 15 secs later as back arrow blinks slower, I'm ready to gun it again but all of sudden front & back flashes and front signal is getting stronger. I see second cop!! A double wammy!!

It saved my butt so many times

cheers,

Is there really any other detector worth a hoot? No! I've been through them all, Bell, Passport... there junk in comparison to ValentineOne.

Doesn't save you all the time....

I am electing to go to court on Wednesday for an '18 over' ticket. Cop claimed he used laser (lidar) and my V1 didn't even go off AT ALL. Absolutely NO warning. V1 was totally silent. I have no idea how this is the case (yes, skeptics, it WAS on )

Now the question is....'did' the cop even use his laser in the first place, or did he just keep the reading from the last poor soul he booked also at 88!

Hmmmmmm......

Guess I'll see what happens on Wednesday!

I was following a detectorless friend about 20 car lengths behind him on a two lane rural road. We were talking back and forth on Motorola walkies during our trip. My V1 began to pick up a weak radar signal. As the signal strengthened, I radioed him to back it down, we both slowed and a state trooper crested the hill in front of us a few moments later. My friend asked me to lead the rest of the trip! He bought a V1 the next week.

For those thinking of buying a detector remember; it is a useful tool, but does not replace sharp eyes and common sense!

I actually recently sold mine....Just got me into trouble and provided a false sense of security....They don't do shit against instant-on radar...

What detector does? No signal, no warning. plain and simple.
instant on is a pain but you can get lucky and catch a bounce off a vehicle ahead. that's where detector sensitivity comes in to play.

hey SIME, see if you can get your court date postponed and subpeona all the tickets the cop wrote the day you got yours. Check the speeds. If they all say 88 around the time you got yours, you got a good chance to get out of it. What is the possibility everyone was going exactly 88!!

It's worth checking. Good Luck.
