I have said for years that Verizon was just a repackaging of General (?) Telephone when the problems and reputation got so bad there was no way to recover.

I have an (ex) friend of mine who is/was one of their training directors just flat out lie to me to get me to switch and then bald face deny everything she said when the company asked about it.

My cousin was a VP with General and when he moved to Dallas his one criteria was that his new home not be in their service area. Even tho he got his phone service for free he said he wanted a phone all the time, not part time.

I got this from the six speed forums. They are having an arguement if its .002 cents, or -2 cents.

Here's the backstory: Verizon can't do simple math. A guy was quoted a rate of 0.002 cents per KB for a data plan. He was billed 0.002 dollars - 100 times the amount of the quote.

Nobody at Verizon the guy talked to could figure out the difference. They were confusing 0.002cents with $0.002, thinking they were the same. The check above pokes fun at Verizon's inability to understand even simple math.

The answer is 0.002, by the way. e^(i*pi) is -1. The sigma equation is 1. So 0.002 - 1 + 1 = 0.002.

For me or the original post?

I still don't get it. Other than it gives Verizon grief to try to figure it out as well.
there was a conversation where a Verizon customer was trying to explain the difference b/t cent and dollar and the service rep was an idiot and didn't understand.
