Video editing question...
My son-in-law helped me to produce a short video clip that I want to use as a humorous opening for a business meeting. The problem is that my four year old grand-daughter is ridiculing my competitors truck which clearly shows his name and phone number on the side.
He's really a good guy, and I don't want to cause him any embarrassment. I also don't want any repercussions if this thing gets circulated through e-mails etc.
Our editing software is very basic, and only allows us to blur the entire scene. Any suggestions on how we can blur just a small section? I don't mind purchasing the software to do it, but I can't justify a huge expense.

If you have a Mac, you can use Final Cut Express: http://www.apple.com/finalcutexpress/
For Windows, I'd look at Premiere Elements, but I'm not sure if it can do what you want: http://www.adobe.com/products/premiereel/main.html
You can dl a trial version though.

Jim,
What program are you using? Can you take a clip and put another clip on the video track above the one with your daughter? And, does your program allow you to crop an image? If so, here's a solution:
Copy the clip of the one you want to blur. Paste it in and put it DIRECTLY above the first track. Crop the clip you just copied and pasted so that the portion with your competitors truck with the name and phone number is the only part of that clip that is left. Then add a Gausian(sp?) blur onto the cropped clip ONLY.
Hope that helps.
