Are you sure about that? Are you willing to go up against an African American thug? Are you really sure? Take a minute to think about it. He and his friends may eat both of you alive. Are you sure you wanna go up against a thug who most likely has a gang behind him? Think about it!

My advice is to do it the legal way. If you could find proof that connects his car to yours, then proceed the legal way. If not, then let it go before you end up dead. If you do shit to his car and he's a true gangsta, you're dead.

[B][SIZE=7]I Need Advice For This Ticket Now

OK, i have a 2 point wreckless driving ticket now that has to be fought. Court is next month, but i want to be prepared. I have a few connections to get it fixed, but if that fails i need a plan B.

Should i hire a lawyer? should i just go myself and plead guilty for a no point charge and high fine?

I have to do something, insurance will go up if i get points, bad enough i have the ticket now. i think ill get a lawyer, but what do you guys suggest?
I don't know about New Jersey, but here in Cali, reckless driving consists of three or more violations in one citation. Example, speeding, unsafe lane change and tailgating. There are other combinations of reckless driving, this is just an example. Don't ask me how I know this stuff

The only thing they could realistically charge you with is speeding. They probably could prove you were exceeding the speed limit due to the skid marks. Like I said before, I don't know how they do things in New Jersey but that wouldn't fly here in Cali.

This situation really sucks. I think you should seek legal counsel. I am also positive that there is NO way they can pin a reckless on you. It's a bum rap man. I know you didn't do what you are accused of.

A body shop could estimate 3,000 just for the damage to the rear. I had a small fender bender a few years back, They replaced the hood, straightened the front left fender, replaced the bumper and painted it. They charged my insurance company $8,000 dollars

You know what, you are right. I am WAY off, it's probably closer to $10,000 dollars in damage
I doubt that, the body shop I use is semi-expensive because the work they do is such high quality.

I got the final estimate back and it is around $8,000

ill probably never see him again. but if i do, nothing will be done face to face. ill get his tag number, and if im in a shitty mood ill follow him to his crib and get his car late at night . but what goes around comes around, so i'll probably just leave him alone and let the circle take its place on him.

Update on Everything

s2000 - the car has been in the shop for almost two weeks. they have it all apart, and all the parts are on order: 02 headlights, 04 front. i decided to keep the 02 lights so it would be one less thing to delay my car more. ill go see the car tommorrow and check on the progress. ill have pictures also.

lexus - havn;t seen the car, havn't seen the guy. eventually ill run into him

court - court is next month, i have a lawyer now. hopefully all will go well and ill loose the points and get a nice fine.

so far ive worked too much this week. i put a lot of over time in trying to make extra cash to pay for the lawyer. it paid off, i have the money for the lawyer and i didnt have to mooch any of my parents. next week ill start saving for when i get the s back, hopefully the following week, because i need an alignment for sure.

While looking at the pictures, I thought of something. Is your car throwing a CEL? If so, it might be the air pump judging from the pics.

You might want to look into that. I don't believe any harm can come from driving around with a damaged air pump, but CELs in general are sooo annoying.

BTW - If this has already been mentioned, sorry. I've read through this thread before, but don't remember this being mentioned.

is that what this piece is? an air pump?

what is its main function with the car though? i thought it might have been a small oil cooler.

anyway, once the car gets back from the shop, im taking it to Honda for an alignment, and a oil change (im going to switch to synthetic), so the CEL will go off.

Yes, that is the air pump.
If I remember correctly, the air pump is on for only the first 60 seconds after start-up and its warms up the cat faster by sending air into the exhaust ports to burn certain particles in the exhaust which would, in turn, increase gas temperatures.
