Wanna take a cruise with the GF
I cruised for the first time last year with my new gf of 1 month and it was a really nice time and definetely do it again. It was a 7 day cruise to the carribean and I admit there were some slow points, not a lot, but nothing a little drinking won't solve. We were on royal carribean and from experience and reviews, they provide excellent entertainment. Our bar tab was only $350 as we were drinking a little modestly. The last night, they sent our duty free purchases to the cabin and we went wild with it.
I just booked another cruise this feb for 5 days to mexico. $440~ with flight, taxes, and fees included/pp! This time on Carnival. Shorter trip means less downtime I guess.

Cruises have a SH!TLOAD of hidden fees and taxes. To give you an example....
My girlfriend and I booked a cruise for January 11th 2009 to the south Caribbean on Royal Caribbean. The balcony room we got was advertised for $599 per person. My credit card was charged $1678 for two, not counting the flight to the port. Also, since my aunt is a travel agent, she waived her commission, which is $192...this amount you would pay if you booked with something like expedia or something. Beware of hidden costs, and the trick to cruises is to pick the right boat.

so which cruise, I was wanting to spend around 1200 for the tickets, so how much should I save for drinks? I mean we drink a little but not so much anymore. Are the shows free? Food Free?
I cruised on NCL ships and I would definitely give them a two
And everything that people have said so far as to prices is true. Pirates on the other hand you won't have to worry about in the Caribbean.

I'll be smugglin' mojo onboard. . . just wait until I get on the dancefloor. Awww yeah.
I'm going on a Carnival Cruise in June to the Caribbean with the g/f and a bunch of her family.
It's a week long trip and I cant' wait to eat a bunch of free food and party
Have a question....what's the best way to sneak booze onto the ship. I'm definitely going to pregame at night before hitting up the bar :LL:

1. Read the literature for the ship carefully. Fine print n' all.
2. Read the customs regulations for where you're sailing.
3. Pack the stuff in your suitcase.
