What are books?

I have no patience with them. Too long.
It's an introverted activity I do not long for.
To each his own.

But this replay thing, I must admit, peaks my curiosity.
Maybe I'll go down to Borders and read the first chapter and drop it like a bad habit.

I should have just posted this instead of PMing it... anyway, for you fans of Replay:

Did you know that for a time there was a movie version of Replay in preproduction. It was going to feature Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts, but I think it's in limbo now.

Also have you read any other books by Ken Grimwood? If you liked Replay, you should read Into the Deep. Not the same as Replay, but of course a very similar style. The story is very much like the movie "Starsea" from within the Replay story.

Also, did you know that Ken Grimwood died on June 6th?

Sorry about bad news, if you didn't know.

Wow, another reason that S2KI rocks! I come online to hang out with car enthusiasts and come away wioth some great book recommendations!

So of course I promptly went to look at my books to find that I have nothing out of the ordinary to recommend. An stange one I picked up was called Roads From the Ashes (author- Megan Edwards), a travel experience book based on a couple whose home burned to the ground. Instead of rebuilding the home, they used the hard fought insurance settlement to by a motor home and now travel the country neeting all sorts of people and experiencing so many things on the road.

Since we are also road people in a sense, I think some folks may enjoy it.

I actually met the author and her husband when they were in the bay area. Really nice folks that made something out of what could have been an unrecoverable disiater...losing ALL their worldly possessions in one fire.

now if you'll excuse me, I am gonna go head down to the book store and see if I can find that "Replay" book.

If you have any spare Anne Rice, Melanie Rawn or Eric Nylund books lying around, I am your man. Otherwise I enjoy generic sci-fi and fantasy adventure (ie DragaonLance, the Survivor series (books, not TV show), et al

Also, if anyone has the COMPLETE Goldenwing Series by Alfred Coppel (Glory, Glory's War, Glory's People), please PM me for I am interested in purchasing this series whereever I can... It is one of my all time favorite sci-fi book series.
