Man, only one suggestion for Arizona? That's sad... it really does check all your boxes. I live in Gilbert- which is one of the safest cities in the nation. I'm walking distance to a 100-year-old down town that features a dozen fantastic restaurants and has a weekly farmer's market. My house was super affordable, the school district great (if you care about that stuff) oh and it doesn't snow. Yes, summer is hot as balls, but it actually doesn't take much time to get out of the heat. Drive 2 hours north and it is 15-20 degrees cooler.

Plus this state is breathtakingly beautiful.

 

Again, great suggestions! My dad has always said arizona is nice due to the lower humidity, etc
