Web Forums???? Recommendations?
I've had a request to build a web site for group of aging fighter pilots, and one of the features they want is a (private) forum. I know that there are several out there that would fit the bill (i.e. http://www.ezboard.com ), although I haven't looked everywhere.
Anybody have a suggestion of a provider that won't break the bank AND delivers a good product? I'm suggesting that they pay for the service to avoid banner ads, and I'm guessing no more than 10,000 hits a month (Max.). I'd like to be able to make appear seamless to the overall site design, and would prefer that it support .css. Oh, also, it needs to be web based with a web control panel. Once I turn it over to the users (which aren't the most technically advanced) it needs to be as user friendly as possible.
It's a fun project so far, after looking over some of the content, these guys have some amazing stories. It's basically F-89C/D drivers who later transitioned to the F-102 in the late 50's (as the start of a career).
Thanks!

You could try UltraBoard. I think there's a free version and a version for about $30 USD if I recall.

Use vBulletin, the software that s2ki is based on although heavily modified by cthree and krazik.

vBulletin and snitz would be great, although I (they) will not have a server, and the hosting may get shopped around. The board needs to be hosted AND have a web interface to adjust settings.
Looks like ultrascripts is down for repair?
Thanks!
