Good laughs, but I'd love to see references to the actual laws as some of these beyond strange or outright wrong

Blythe: You are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you already own at least two cows.

That would probably rid us of all the texans that are migrating out here.

We'd just bring our cattle over
Grill me a good Black Angus Newyork strip and you can wear cowboy boots even in my S2000!

These aren't real laws, they are interpretations/loopholes of different laws.

For example: It is illegal to lay a mousetrap without a permit.

There is no law that says "it is illegal to lay a mousetrap without a permit" There is a law that says something to the effect that you need a hunting permit to hunt using hunting traps. This person says, "well, that means that you can't lay a mousetrap, because you are hunting mice with a hunting trap"

Same goes for: You can't hunt animal from a moving vehicle unless it is a whale.

Yes there is a law that says you can't hunt animals from a moving vehicle. (most states have similar laws)... But there was or may still be a different law that allows the hunting of whales from a boat (moving vehicle)...

The "laws" sound funny, but they aren't really laws, they are someone saying "well there is a law that allows this, and there is a different law that doesn't allow this, so if you add the laws together, then this or that is legal/illegal.

If CHP can use it as an excuse to ticket you, then it will damn near be legal or illegal... which ever they need to steal your money.

"Car too low" anyone...
