Just goes to prove that cops always think they are above the law.

And just like usual, the cop is found innocent of any wrong doing. The cops think they are above the law, because they usually are.

This always bums me out. I've had the good fortune of meeting various cops of various stripes. Many of them are real professionals. . . but all it takes is one to make a stereotype. What a schmuck.

There's more than a stereotype going on here. The type of person attracted to law enforcement is already on a mild power trip by definition ("I want to enforce the law.").

Are all police officers bad people? No. But the percentage has to be higher than a general public cross-section. Power corrupts.
