What cell phone to buy
I am a verizon wireless customer and my contract is running out. I originally planned on purchasing the V710 Motorola phone, but after reading lots of bad reviews and seeing it in the store in person, I am not sure what to do. I dont really like any of their other phones. I'd rather not change carriers and prefer flip phones.
Does anyone have any personal experience with this phone? Other phones that you might recommend?

I've always liked motorolas, but the new v710 seems bulky to me. Also, the fact that verizon has crippled the bluetooth capabilites really bothers me. I was hoping to use my own mp3's as ringers rather than having to buy a new one. I did look at the LG VX7000 and I like it, however it doesnt have the data capacity that the motorola does.
Btw has anyone installed the bluetooth car kit in their S?

OMG that RAZR V3 looks so SWEET! I've been a huge Nokia User, but this might make me switch -

Get off Verizon is my suggestion.
Why? Well all bluetooth phones carried by them will be limited (it has already started) to only use bluetooth with a headset. Meaning if you want to transfer your contact list to your phone from your computer you cant. Get pics from you computer, nope. Ringtones? forget about it.
Verizons reason for doing this to stop "blue snarfing" (google it) which is a way to "hack" a BT phone, but it's not malicious nor illegal. It just is some stupid stuff that the rest of the world has been doing for years but Americans have too much fear of the unknown so want a corporation to protect them, by limiting thier acess to new technology.
Basically Verizon is limiting access so they can charge you when you download ringers and pics off thier network for something like $2.99 each!
I switching to Cingular for GSM service, not limited technology, better phone selection (IMO), and weekends that dont start Saturday at noon. not to mention rollover. And I'm doing this having to pay the broken contract fee, thats how furious I am at them... forget my MTV, I Want My Technology.
EDIT: The V710 is the first phone to get this BT restriction, so if you get it just realize that BT on that phone only works for a BT headset, other than that your paying for bluetooth but not getting it.
