Default What comes around goes around

When I lived in Florida, I had the world's bitchiest neighbor. Nothing was ever good enough, and I got so sick of the baseless complaints to the homeowners association about me and my property that I ran for a board seat just to eliminate one place for her to complain to! She was such a nuisance and so nosy that I took to calling her Gladys Kravitz, and the rest of the neighbors picked up the name and were all using it within weeks because THEY couldn't stand her either! This woman made living next to her for 3 1/2 years a distinct displeasure, though most of my other neighbors were great enough that they made up for it.

In talking to my other former neighbor today, I found out that Gladys' husband was arrested on charges of extortion and principal to robbery just before Thanksgiving! Apparently, someone owed him money, so he had someone pretending to be a hit man go and threaten the debtor. The debtor called his bluff and called the police, and the former neighbor, aka "Abner," was arrested and held in lieu of $120,000 bail!

I shouldn't laugh, he might send a fake hit man after me too, but MAN, what a deserving idiot!

Maybe you should try to look at life through her eyes. Maybe she is the way she is because of years of a bad life and her husband getting arrested was the last straw. Try killing her with kindness.

This woman is a battleaxe! He was always nice enough to everyone else (while maintaining an upturned nose), but she has always been hideous, without fail, to everyone. I'm not sure he should be punished by the authorities; I'm sure he would have rathered die than go home after being arrested!

Sounds like you were cursed with a real bad neighbor, Sondra. I've known a few home owners that were "blessed" with neighbors such as yours.

Enjoy her misfortune, it came around, like it often does. But, it is a momentary satisfaction, but a satisfaction none the less. The best we can take from the situation is to better ourselves and not carry resentment.

But I'm glad the bitch got what she deserved.

I had an neighbor very recently that I had mistakenly decided to get a bit friendly with. He turned out to be an annoying neighbor that took "friendly" liberties regarding our contact, I tried to give him the hint I didn't want him knocking at my door or playing his stereo (with sub woofer) at unreasonable times, and finally hoped he'd move or just disappear then a week ago he drove his truck off the road and got impaled by a tree branch (dead at the scene) and it came around for him. Best thing for him, hate to say, but that's what I think at this moment.I wanted to be rid of him, but can't say I wanted him dead.

Anyway, I can relate to the neighbor problems.

I had kind of forgotten about their son though... poor kid, he's probably 14 now, and I feel sorrier than ever for him about now!
