Do something that makes you happy. Doesn't matter if you make more money doing something you don't like doing- you need to be happy doing something you like to do every day.

Money is great blah blah blah but your happiness trumps all.

I'm 22 and ill be graduating next December (2014) with my b.s. in electrical engineering. Hopefully move somewhere warm and start my career in engineering.

Currently I've been working retail to support my expensive hobbies (cars, firearms, golf etc) and I hate it. I can't stand dealing with rude people every day and management always trying to cover their asses for a walk from a big shot thus causing the little guys like myself to have to work twice as hard. Plus an inconsistent schedule so you can never make plans because you have no idea when you're working.

Balancing school and work and a girlfriend is rough but its only a few years and it beats hating life in a retail job forever. Some people like retail, but it's not for me.

At 18 I dropped out of university and got my real estate license. Did that for two years, but realised it wasn't something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. It did give me some good starting out money, managed to get my car paid off and bought a house. I'm 22 now and living with my gf. I've got a job at family friends company now and loving it. I get to do a bit of everything and he's obsessed with the track so can't ask for any better. We even go up some weekdays to race. Also started a car parts business with a buddy of mine at the end of last year. So far life is good

got a BS in Biology a few years back... now working in a hospital. It's not bad, decent pay, hours suck, but at least there is unlimited air conditioning.
