what to do in san francisco?
Time stuff around traffic, or you'll spend a good chunk sitting and taking in the scenic view of an H2 in front of you.
The Redwood forest is north of the city, that's nice to go to. The towns north of SF (Sausalito, Tiburon) are small but nice, with good restaurants.

when i visited there, i went to this awesome hawaiian restaurant, forgot where.
also, i went to the japanese tea garden, pretty cool.
and on my way there, a bunch (at least 50 of them) of people were playing the bongos together,l with the obligatory hippie chicks dancing without shoes. if that's you scene, check it out

Go for the 49-Mile Scenic Drive, it'll cover all of the major turist points in San Francisco.
