what do you do for lunch?

I can do either, but I prefer alone with a good book. It helps me unwind and relax.
But then I am a little different. My last personality test said I was a serial killer. I kid you not! I didn't get the job because of it.
I can be very happy orchestrating the group and I can be equally happy off in the corner all by myself.

If you like to read and may be a serial killer, have you read Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay?
Always solo, most of time I go home for lunch, since its only a 10 minute drive from the office. Sometimes I have lunch with my wife or meet up with an outside friend for lunch.
Years ago, I used to have lunch in a group, but then rumors started flying about one of my female employees and myself. Then the wheels of office politics were put in motion and I was quickly told and forced to learn to distance myself from the people I work with. Since I was the youngest executive manager at the age of 25 back then, I was the subject of much jealously and rumors, from other managers to even one of the co-founders of the company. God, I just hate BS office politics.

No, I hadn't even heard of them, but I am headed to the library today so I will look them up.
At a book a day I am always scouring the libraries and paperback shelves. I've even had to read a western or romance (ugh) novel or 2.

I don't know your taste in books, but I just read the new Harlan Coben book (Promise me) last night, and it was a good read.
I eat at my desk most of the time. I either read a book or surf the web (or play Need for Speed). Occasionally I'll go out with co-workers but I don't see the point in spending lunch time with people you see while you're actually working as well.
Now, if I'm with a vendor, I definitely go out to eat (or if it's a customer, I'll put it on the company's tab).

Lunch is probably the best time of the day for everyone here @ my job. I always go for a 45 min. drive around the area, same route, then come back to work. We have a catering business that provides us w/lunch on a daily basis which saves us all a lot of money.
