We got Spanky after we'd been married for a year. While he was not thrilled to get a cat back then (because he never had pets growing up), he really does like Spanky now. Let's put it this way, when we go away, I'm not the one who insists on Spanky having an overnight pet sitter.

See if he will agree on a trial basis, Getting the putty tat out of the shelter is the first thing I would do and if it doesn't work out you can find a good home for it through your network of friends. I have fostered animals in the past and some I have feel in love with and kept and others I have found a good home for - these things have a way of working out - Good luck Kimmy
