I think it is important to get this on record with the manager because you have to protect yourself if he becomes unstable and tries to confront you or damage your property - Also getting someone else involved (manager) will lend some credibility to your story.

I agree, with nzaizar. If she seems receptive I'd talk to the girl when the boyfriend is not around. HE's just beign a jerk, she's probably rolling her eyes at him. Sorry to hear that happened to you though.

Set up a bear trap for him. Snatch him up in a bear trap and he'll never mess with you again.

But seriously, who lives on a ground floor with their windows open at night? That in itself is just asking for trouble.

That's the thing! I don't even think the windows were open! I can't say I'm sure though, because I was focused on my cat, but I certainly didn't feel like I was invading anyone's privacy.

Get your firearms license and start packin!!! You'll show him who's boss...hehe

******On a serious note, go to the local police and file a complaint, this way they have it on file that this guy has been threating you, etc. Request a copy for yourself so they don't "lose" it over the years. If he bothers you again, let him know, he should back off at that point.

I did this with a guy who was threatening me, so there is a trail of incidents if anything physical ever occurs.

It's good you talked to the management at least, you need to have it on record or at least let someone else know. It's good to have a 3rd party just in case anything dumb happens.

i agree with those who advise you to get a third party involved. to expand on those sentiments, i too suggest that you file a complaint with the local police, especially if you think this guy may swing on you later(better safe than sorry). explain the situation to management as soon as possible also. the last thing you want is them to believe his bigoted ass. Then, tell the manager you want to seriously efface any incling of inappropriateness with your neighbor. Ask for the resident's last name, and mail a written apology explaining the situation again, be remorseful but don't over do it. Couple that with a gift certificate to a decent restaurant and you should be straight. May even get you an invite to that bedroom...
