What made you decide your major for college?

Well, I don't know about ASKING... it's more demanding.
Accounting...... i had next to zero parenting as a highschooler (parent divorced... lived with my dad..... i was basically an inconvience)...... he taught Accounting at the local college.... i could go for free tuition and i picked accounting since no one gave me any guidance and I was too dumb to ask anyone.....
it has worked out ok....boring as hell....but it pays the bills.....
some schools have an entraprenuer (ya i can spell) program.....that would be interesting if the teachers were good.

I thought a Bachelor of Science in Nursing would be great, since the ratio of females to males in the program is over 10 to 1.
Jobs are available everywhere for BSNs, especially if you are a guy, so I never have to worry about finding a job. I was earning around $70,000 as an ICU nurse, and I highly recommend it.
Now I'm in a 2-year graduate program for Anesthesia. Starting pay right out of school, at Kaiser Permanente, is $120,000 - 130,000, and there are other places that pay more.
It's also very rewarding in other ways (besides money).

I grew to hate programming for some reason so i went to mechanical engineering since I have and nitrest in cars and I was on a Solar car team in high school. I'm thinking of moving over to Physics now though. I must be crazy
I chose communications (stop laughing) because I always liked interacting with other people. I love to write, love film, and LOVE orating. Seemed like a natural choice for me. It's benefitted me well in my present sales job. I also balanced out communications with a second major in Criminal Justice. Originally intended on being an attorney, but decided against it to pursue sales/business career. So far so good!
