I hate working out. That being said, I like the results. Every so often after being exposed to perfect bodies in the media I go on a diet and then hit the gym. I get in great shape and when I see results I just look at myself in the mirror. The something happens and I miss my routine and don't pick it up again for a year or more. I wish I loved working out.

that being said, I love to play sports. That I get addicted to quickly.

The Scenery is way better than going to see all the fat hogs at the mall.

I would much rather workout than have to go visit the doctor and take a bunch of pills for my heart / cholesterol, etc....

As far as results... seems like you plataeu... if you haven't been to a gym in a while you will see good results at first... after a while though you just to it to maintain basically.....

I personally don't enjoy just laying around my house or drinking beer so the Gym is just a better choice for me.

I go to LA Fitness...it is $34.99/month and I easily get my $ worth. Lots of people join and never go. I am there at least 20 times per month.

I am 5'11" and a whopping 170lbs.... I can't gain weight for shit.

Kind of both for me. At the gym, I can put the IPOD on and not think about anything else, so its sort of relaxing in that aspect. I hate going sometimes, but I also like to see the results.

I'm about 5'11" and 165-170 and dont seem to gain weight. I lift more weight and see the differences, but no weight gain.

Motivation: not dying early from a health-related caused like a heart attack or stroke

I've found that taking regular gym classes or regularly playing a sport is the best way to keep exercise exciting.

I work out first thing in the morning at least 4 times a week because it keeps me energized throughout the day. My body and mind feel much better and I like being in shape.
I agree. I hit the gym at 5 AM each morning.
