Whatever you get, I recommend you get red or amber lenses - the light filtration in these glasses will give you sharper vision in more light conditions, making the glasses more useful.

I have Bolle Coachwhip sunglasses, amber lens... excellent value, i've had them for over 4 years and haven't felt the need to replace them (they are getting a bit scratched though). Just over $100 at the time.

I have a pair of perscription Ray-Bans, silver frames and polarized silver/black lenses. Polarized lenses really help.

yeah sure, they're not driving glasses and there's just way too much blue goin on when i wear them (with my blue car/blue interior)...but they work fine.

Where did you get the prescription lenses done? I'm having trouble finding a place here in Seattle that'll do it?
I just went to Lenscrafters and picked out frames and picked the kind of lenses I wanted. They weren't cheap, but the Lenscrafters I go to here have always been friendly and helpful, so I don't mind paying for good service. I've also never had a problem with the quality of glasses I've gotten there (new sunglasses, new regular glasses, and had lenses replaced due to new perscription ).

You can usually get the frames at eye glass places, some doctor's office work with manufacturers directly, and each manufacturer will make prescription lenses for you if you have your prescription.

I know Ray Ban, Serengeti, Maui Jim, Revo, Boll

I have the polarized X-metal Oakleys. Perfect coverage around my eyes.
