Default what "volenteering" is rewarding?

If I figured out how to donate a few hours of my time each week or every couple of weeks....what could I do that won't piss me off?

I helped idiots with taxes a while ago...that was unrewarding....gold toofed', puffy jacket drunks bitching about not getting enough free gov't $ back....

I thought somehow taking a lonely person (as long as they have $ for me in their Will) to the mall / shopping would be somewhat rewarding..... (as long as they don't smell).....

seriously.... what is a somewhat rewarding thing to do?

Not sure about "volenteering" but I did some volunteering work at the Special Olympics in high school. That was fun and rewarding for me.

I work sorting food at the food bank from time-to-time. I also donate my time and expertise to some band programs in the area.

When I was in college I use to go and help troubled middle school kids with math.

Last week I just heard about a clinic that does free checkups and prescriptions for people who don't have health insurance every other sunday which I think is a great idea considering how crap healthcare is here for people without a job and the elderly. I called them to help volunteer in any way i can.

I volunteered at the local first aid squad and eventually became an EMT. Although, now at school I dont have time for it anymore, I found it very rewarding to help people in need.

I would also volunteer as a firefighter but again, time is limited now
