I just got this one from my wife this past Father's day.

It's an IWC BIG PILOT watch. My favorite right now.

My Breitling, Bell&Ross and Rolex have not seen my wrist since I got this one.

Anyone have a recommendation for a light, simple, classy watch that can still be worn casually? Sub $1000 range. I basically want a watch I can wear daily that is high quality but isn't gaudy about it.

I have a Khaki Action Auto, very tough, and no battery, yet still quite accurate. Hamilton, IMHO, offers the best watch for the money, as far as mechanical/automatics go. The Khaki line is not gaudy, but very well made, and quite tough. The luminescence is quite bright, and lasts for 8+ hours.

Oris Williams F1 Day Date. automatic, black face, stainless steel band, clear case back. I can't even wear my other watch anymore-- I love this one too much.

Accurist 2 colours ladies watch.
Had this one less than a year, replacing more or less an identical one that I had for 7 years.

I've had my Kirium Ti5 since it first came out and it's been amazingly trusty and reliable. The rubber band is showing some wear after all these years... I'm thinking of updating it to a brushed SS Kirium bracelet.
