What Watch do you wear in the S2000?
This is a great thread. I like watches, but don't consider myself a collector (especially since I only have one). Also, I would like to say I really don't appreciate the comments above about people who belong to country clubs or wear nice watches being snobs. I applaud people who can afford to pursue their interests and hope to have similar success one day. Anyway, I've always wanted to own a Breitling, because when I was little my Grandfather had one. Here's my current watch:

I'm hoping my next watch is this:

Here's what I picked up a few months back:

2000 Classic Multigraph. It is looks basic, but has a digital chronometer, 2nd time, countdown, alarm, date (month/day/day of week). I love the simple look; it is very unassuming. I picked the rubber band mostly due to the comfort and simplicity, but am considering buying the 2000 Classic brushed stainless band for a little more bling. Set me back about $1200 from an authorized dealer. I see them for ~$100 less on Ebay.

I want to get a TAG automatic next. I like this one for my next watch:
Aquaracer Automatic Chronograph

no disrespect (and mav, congrats on your upcoming wedding)... but steven975, mav-- TAGs are all hype, no substance. they're ridiculously overpriced for the quality they offer, and are all about their excellent advertising campaign, and virtual ubiquity in retail stores. they use very common, mass produced movements, and the quality of their cases is sub-par.
TAG
and while I'm on the subject...
Panerai
and Anonimo
x3
well made watches that are fairly reasonably priced (these are all jewelry anyway right? they do the same things as a Swatch digital... but it's all about the workmanship and design)
Rolex (such as the stainless steel Submariner
)
Jaeger-LeCoultre

Omega (although I don't really like their watches that much)
there are more, but those are off the top of my head

Yea, I realize they are not the cream of the crop, but they are great watches nonetheless. Tag < Rolex, but the Rolex is way more than I can afford right now. When those who can afford Breitlings and Rolexes knock on something cheaper, it smells of snobbiness (is that a word?).
I love Tags personally. I got the Link for my 21st birthday from my Dad as my first "real" watch and enjoyed Tag's products since. I'm not a big fan of Rolex, except for the Daytona. Another good quality watch is Omega. The Seamaster is an excellent piece and pretty affordable.
