i know this is sort of controversial, but i saw the question somewhere and its very thought provoking...so, assuming all is true, and if jesus were to come back to earth, what would you ask or tell him

 

Why are there retarded people. And I'm not talking people with only one arm or speech problems, I'm talking people who are as smart as a wallnut, yet thier parents never did wrong, and they never smoked or drank or lived by power lines or any of that. Tell me why.....

I would ask Jesus what drugs I managed to take without knowing. Seeing as I'd be hallucinating about a 2000+ year old dead guy.

 

I'd ask about how Jesus, as a black woman, felt about always being portrayed as a bearded white guy.

 

Partly for the same reason there are blond, red headed or albino people or tall people or short people, genetics. A simple alignment of genes in a particular fashion that just happens.
There are also people who develop retardation from accidents, unplanned or planned, like when the baby "falls" out of the second floor window and doesn't die.
Or as a result of disease or illness, such as epilepsy or extremely high fever which damages the brain.
Retardation just is. No greater or lesser meaning. Asking the "why" to this is like asking why some people are born into the Bush or Kennedy families and why others are born into poverty.
