Default What would you do?

My Mom just found out her newphew, my cousin has been stealing from her for the past 4 years. He manages one of her stores. My Mom confronted him and he started crying saying he's sorry. And my mom gave him another chance.. Which I think she should not have done.. He stole a total amount of $200,000-$250,000 or so in the last 4 years..

Honestly I think he will not steal for a few months or two then figure out a new way. what do you think?

Things hes done.
1. When customers place big orders for $700 on a credit card. He will enter zero into the cash register and charge $700.00 on the Credit Card machine. So then the Register will have an Extra 700.00 He will pocket that add that a couple times a day.

2. When the store Makes more money he takes more..

3. We have record when business is slow when we are barley making 400 profit a day he will take home 650. So the business losses 250.

4. When business is really slow and its payday he will take half of whats in the register and go to my mom the next day and tell her there wasnt enough money for him to get paid and asks her for pay...

THats all i can think of for now. Venting

*Edit Also My mom let him live with her without having to pay for anything for 2 years..

Thanx for reading sorry so messy had to vent..

You'd be doing a huge disservice to other people if you don't send him to jail.

If he doesn't do it to you, most likely he will do it to someone else.

Does he have some kind of gambling problem or what? Not to be rude but how do you run a business and not investigate a $250 loss? I'm sure that you wont want to give too much information away but what type of business is able to make $250 loss in a day not incl. wages?

I have a friend who is a private investigator who handles this sort of thing all the time. The first thing I'd suggest is hiring a PI to gather the evidence. Assuming your story is accurate, once the evidence is amassed he will get a signed confession, a written promise of restitution, and will hand the guy over to the police.

PM me if you'd like to talk to my friend.
