When I was around 4 years old, I found this wallet in the grocery store. I was too little to count, but that wallet was very fat. I brought it to my mom and she took it to the ckeck out counter. An old man was there looking for his wallet to pay for his groceries. He gave me a nickel for finding his wallet. Back then a nickel could buy a candy bar, but I thought he should have given me enough for 2 or 3 candy bars.

When I was in college I found $5 dollars in the McDonalds parking lot. My boyfriend and I both got the biggest hamburgers, fries and drinks. It was great because we were both continually hungery.

100 bill -- I used to work at the mall(gap) when i was in high school and that saturday night i had requested off for monthes and a few days before he made me work, he said he was short 101 dollars, and right before we leave i saw a small little green ball, shribbled up in the corner of the cashwrap, i usually turn in anything i find, but since he was acting like a douche i kept it.

No Thank You, geez that's pretty sad! Obviously they were rich, so $6000 was probably nothing to them. $6000 is a lot for a tax refund anyways.

great posts everyone!
If you are pulling a $6k refund, odds are they aren't rich. When they owe huge amount, that's an indicator that they rich.

I found a Ben Franklin attached to a piece of fishing line that some jokester quickly pulled out of my hand.....

I started to pound him into the ground for his efforts

most I've ever found was a wallet with 370 dollars in it.. noticed it as we (dad and I) were headed to town. he stopped the car, I jumped out and grabbed it. luckily for the guy that lost it, I found it.. it was everything he had for the month, and was VERY grateful that I found it and returned it to him.. he gave me 20 dollars too, and for a boy thats' about 10 yrs old that 20 dollars was quite abit, but the best thing was the feeling that I had when I was able to give the owner of the wallet it back..

Twice I found about $50 in parking lots, once at a flea market and once at a ferry ride in an envelope marked "Lunch Money." I asked the ticket guy if anyone had reported loosing some money and he said no, so it was our lunch money. $20 next to an ATM another time. A wallet with just over $200 but enough ID to find the owner. The guy's sister took the wallet, then ran out and gave me $20. $5 here, $10 there. Lots of random coin alone or in bunches.
Found a nice Craftsman power drill in the road while running once. Still works quite well. A leather coat that fit me while riding my bike early one morning.
The most bizarre find, however, was a dead woman. She'd left a bar about 9:30 the night before and managed to get hit by a trailer truck who kept on going. She was tossed off the road and into a field a few feet lower, not particularly visible to cars, but visible from the seat af a Honda CB-125.

Found a buck in a field when I stopped to let my dog do his duty. Every time I drive past it I tell my wife that's where I found a buck. She is getting sick of hearing it.
Does anybody else dream they find a bunch of coins, start picking them up and there's more and more and pockets are filled..... frustrating.
