Hey Da Hapa,
Did you see my post, Fat Tire was No 2 on my list as well, sadly available only in Colorado.
However, Karl Strauss is available in San Diego, luckily 2 hours from here. Friend of mine is getting a keg this weekend, YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sorry, missed the two later posts. If you guys are ever in PHX look me up. I'll buy the beer.
Wirejock,
I remember when Shiner Bock was considered weird in Texas but my friends and I always used to make the pilgrimage down to Shiner, TX and drink some really good beer. It's actually scary, I think I got credit at Texas A&M for going to Shiner.

We go north into the mountains to a little place and get home brew. Buy it by the fruit jar. Also pick up a gallon of shine, the real stuff, without the bubbles. It's good, and will kick your ass!
Anybody ever drink Lone Star? It's certainly not the best I've ever drank, but then it's not the worst, either. My graphics company actually had Lone Star for a client for a couple of years. Any time we did a job for them they'd send us several cases of the stuff. It wasn't too bad; we got paid for the work, and all the free (albeit bad) beer we could drink.
If you're going to drink beer it has to be a real ale - none of that lager mouthwash that tastes like soapsuds
.
Real beers have colour to them and aren't sickly sweet honey coloured sickly sweet soda pops full of gas
- a few of my favourites
- John Bull
- Kilkenny
- Caffreys
- Boddingtons
- Beamish Red
