What's your favorite place?
I bought a super wide angle lens just to take a shot of the city from a higher elevation. You take a train ride out of Cuzco along the Urabamba River most of the day. Then you take a truly hair raising ride in a ancient bus with a crazed Peruvian driver on a 13 switchback narrow dirt path up a 3,000 foot sheer face and suddenly, there it is.
The Peruvian Amazon out of Iquitos is pretty interesting, too. It's 2,300 miles upriver from the Atlantic and has pretty well petered out -- only 2 1/2 miles across! Everything about it is amazing. We stayed in two jungle river camps. We were the only people in the first one other than a group of eccentric Britisj butterfly collectors. Out of the second I bartered for a blowgun from a Yagua indian chief.

Hawaii, specifically the island of Maui. A friend of mine went to Tahiti and said it was gorgeous. Haven't been there yet. Might have to go in the future to see if it could be my new favorite place.
