Yeah just like the 1st LT who was billed for his bloody flak jacket. Army or no army your just a number.
My god, to base your life decisions on one story about a flak jacket is so dumb.

Organizations are made up of people. People are inherently stupid. In many organizations the dumbest rise to the top. It happens everywhere. They then make a stupid decision that screws someone over. Get over it.

I was more for giving you decent advice in the beginning of this thread and thought people should give you a break because you are obviously young. But c'mon, one story about a flak jacket you keep harping on. And this whining about "the Air Force will be nicer to me" sniff sniff. These are organizations that exist for the purpose of killing and destruction. If you aint tough enough to exist in one forget it. Make the decision to go balls out, or don't go. It is that simple.

Otherwise get whatever crappy job you can get paying a few bucks an hour on a high school diploma until you realize how much it sucks and how bad you hate it that you want to go through Navy Seal training just to get away from jobs like putting up drywall or roofing.

The military provides many people with great opportunity, but at a personal cost. They own you for a couple years and you might get shot at. To some that is a great exchange for an organization that will house them, clothe them, feed them, train them, underpay them, and perhaps pay for college until they decide they want to do something else. You want them to be nice too?

At some point in your training you got homesick or scared or lonely and wanted out. It happens to ALL of the recruits, but most suck it up. The flak jacket and number stuff you are quoting are EXCUSES to cover the fact that you were not mentally tough enough at the time. Maybe next time you will be but don't look for an easy way or excuses because you will accomplish nothing that way.

Watch Pvt. Benjamin. You sound like the scene where Goldie Hawn says she signed up for the military with the condos and beach front. Looking for the military branch that does not treat you like a number and a cog in the machine does not exist.

or you could just make six figures on that same high school diploma and skip school all together.
