I'm very seriously considering making a trip to Indianapolis for the US Grand Prix this year (June 20). I want to buy tickets soon, and I want the best ones I can find. It looks like the most expensive ones on the website are like $150 for "Paddock Penthouse" seats. Anyone got some input on where the primo seats are?

I'm probably just gonna make a weekend out of it and go see qualifying, practice, etc. I've even heard you can drive the circuit ("slowly") on Monday. If that's true, forget flying...road trip!!

 

I would say corner6, terrace SE Vista or the NW Vista. I see you are in FL too ROADTRIP

 

I'm going! Not sure what seats we have though, I'll find out. I *think* they were only ~$100. Cheap seats!

 

1st corner right after the straight, that's where my seat is this year

 

We went in 2001 and sat just past the start/finish line. They were pretty good seats.

I'd say that the best seats are just before Turn 1: best view of the most likely spot for passing.

 

I plan on going, I'm going to get tickets for one of the Vista's

 

I had tickets on the front straight.
We left the seats and walked around the course for the second half of the race.
JV's BAR came to a halt right in front of us...along with his F1 career!
