Usually the newspaper will have a section for POS cars. Check there first.

a $100 car will not have enough power to go up a ramp.. if it even moves.

You would have to spend at least $1000, but even then, when you try to get it up a ramp for a jump the car might overheat. Make sure its manual so you have more control on the revs, as old autos tend to shift early. However if you plan to run it down some rollercoaster hill really quick its also dangerous because the brake system is probably pretty shot. Just make sure there isn't a stop sign at the bottom.

Car for 100 dollars, check with your local neighborhood crackhead. You can even get it for less than that, if you know how to haggle. Just dont get pulled over by the cops in it, that and you might have to start it with a screwdriver.

All wrong all wrong. Go to your local auto auction. I have seen countless good running/driving vehicles go for under 300 bucks. I bought a wrecked 240sx (no chassis damage though) for 200 dollars to learn how to drive a manual transmission car. Only had 130k miles and ran perfect. You can find lots of "good" cars for cheap.

You ever see a movie called "The Slasher" (IIRC)? Documentary special-event used car salesman. Anyway, at these special sales events the dealership would get a bunch of people in by promising one $99 car sold each day. You just have to guess which one and line up early to claim it. Oh yeah, they are real pieces of crap but they all drive off the lot.
