Where were you on 9/11/01?
I was getting ready for Jr.High when my parents told me. Then I watched the second plane it live on TV.. went to school and the first person I hear talk about it said "America deserved it" I wanted to slap that bitch
Sophomore year of HS, walked out of geometry and my friend Rob tells me a plane flew into the WTC. Thinking it was some sort of tour gone wrong, I said, "Did they not see the building?". Walk into bio and it was on TV, second plane hit, and they put everyone in the cafeterias after the Pentagon was hit. One of the few days my friends and I didn't play baseball after school; just sort of sat around at our makeshift field, it was a weird day.
i had fallen asleep the night before listening to loveline, so i woke up to the radio still on and the dj was just talking about oh my gosh i cant believe this is happening this is the most sickening thing ive ever seen and i could hear in his voice he was dead serious. so i jump up and turn on the tv and see the big hole in the first building. not 5 minutes later the second plane hits on live tv. boggled my mind. my mom was getting ready for work and as she was leaving i was like "it is going to be such a pain to fix holes that big in a building that tall and in that EXACT MOMENT, the first building crumbles. than came the news about the pentagon, and my cousin called from scranton, where the other plane went down, and he was actually outside when the jet flew low over them. i tried to go to school (was in college at the time) but it was pretty much just every class that had a television had them pulled out to the halls and everyone just watched tv all day. i watched the 9/11 documentary where the frenchmen were with the closest fire department a few years ago, and i just balled. i also bought united 93, bought i havent been able to bring myself to watch it yet.
I was at work. Our office admin came by and told us that a plane had hit the WTC. I saw clips & stuff, but didn't really realize what was going on. It wasn't until more people started talking about it in the afternoon, and I actually had a chance to sit down and watch the news for a bit that I realized that it was a terrorist attack.
I was also in High school, starting my Junior year. I was on the west coast, so the first plane hit very early in the morning. Listening to the News on PBS I thought that it was a war-of-the-worlds type of apocalyptic work of fiction, and only found out that it was real when I turned on to 91.1 fm (91X San Diego) and heard Chris Cantore talking about it in a very serious tone.
Freshman year of HS. Sitting in English class. Heard nothing of it until we turned the TV on then. It was seconds after the 2nd plane hit.
I am in Johnstown PA. I live 10 minutes from where Flight 93 crashed. Neighbors and friends houses shook so bad pictures fell off the walls because of 93 flying so low.
Many people around here also claim to have seen Flight 93 shot down by military aircraft and that it did not crash on its own. We do have a local military base here. I have never researched into this...

Stationed Ft. Myer Va. home of Arlington National Cemetary and 3rd US INF The Old Guard.
I was in the auditorium rehearsing for Spirit of America (look it up) as a spotlight operator.
Heard about what happened in N.Y. earlier in the morning and while we were talking about it on our headsets we heard?felt the impact of the 3rd jet hitting the P-Gon.
Once we figured out what was going on we were ordered to get into battle rattle. Next thing I know I'm setting up a retrans site (I was in the Regiment Commo Plt at the time), on the South lawn and let me tell you what a mess that was!
Spent the next few weeks aiding in the recovery effort and maintaining radio communications with the Regiment.
