No. I don't. Are you attempting to make a point? I'm not seeing it.

I don't think that having kids would suddenly make me decide that I am responsible for directing the traffic in front of my house. If I was concerned that someone would run over my kids in the street, I'd tell my kids not to play in the street.
My point is that if you had kids of your own your perspective would change. It's impossible to be emphathetic in your situation. I'm not saying you are a bad person or wrong, but I promise you'll see things differently if you become a family man with your own kids.

You have a point with the "Slow" vs. "Caution". Maybe they are saying "Slow Kids at Play"...as in their kids are slow...I am beginning to think that this is annoying you a little too much though... just saying

The problem is that parents are afraid to kick the shit outta their kids nowadays because of all these tree hugging hippie laws. The stupid little sewer rats run all over the place while their fat obese soccer mom sits their with a ho-ho shoved in her mouth. Then when the little turd gets hit or hurt, they get all worked up and blame other people.

Maybe you're right. Maybe my perspective will change when I have kids, but I don't think so. I can understand the lady's desire to keep her kids safe, I just disagree with the actions she took to do it.

Nah. At this point, I wouldn't say I'm annoyed. I was astonished that someone has the gall to take such actions, so I posted up about it. Since then, I've simply been explaining my reasoning. Not particularly annoyed or emotional, just trying to make my point.

I'm definitely not advocating these crazed soccer mom harangues, but the peeps who are stating that they're driving well within the speed limit definitely haven't fought a speeding ticket before. Traffic laws state that the speed limit is a suggestion according to the normal states of the environment (i.e. proper lighting, mediocre traffic, wide lanes, multiple lanes, etc). If it were raining during night time, the driver should know to slow down proper to the environment, even though the speed limit may be posted higher.

In this case, the environment stipulates an unpredictable single-laned street in a neighborhood. The driver sees that kids are playing on the street and thus should slow down, which is also suggested by the slow down signs ahead. I'm not saying a cop would write you a ticket for not slowing down, but you would technically be in the wrong. Now just reverse everything I said and you'll have you're winning case against a speeding ticket!

i hate when the kids are playing football, hitting the ball on cars and running into them (mine DEFINATELY included) with the parents out front, and when I walk up screaming at them to go across the street to the WIDE-OPEN PARK, the dad acts like his kids weren't in the worng... they hit my ****ING car thats worth more than all the 15 you have in your front yard. **** off old man, just cause you fail at life and don't care doesn't mean others don't.
